A new knife
« on: June 15, 2010, 07:41:00 PM »
Hot off the forge, CL Matteo dropped this off today. 4" blade, 7 3/4" OA, 5160 steel, forged and tempered. He aged the blade in a mottled pattern..it looks case hardened. This one has walnut handle slabs, It should be a handy size for most anything.

That could be handy for a LOT of jobs!
Well thought out knife.
You be at Compton's this weekend, Ron?
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

Ron...You're killing me! Love the knife...Makin' me want one. (Is that possible???) That and a Hawk would be a fine combo to go to the woods with. Add an Oiled haversack and your longhunter shirts and Whoa Nelly a fun filled day trip to the woods! Enjoy the knife and some fun time shooting.
