Thank you everyone!! The owner is very happy and I was also pleased with them. I not sure if it is how they turned out or if I am just glad to get them out of the shop. The 3V is a nightmare to finish, eats belts and paper like crazy. I figure I had about 30 hour in hand sanding alone on the chopper. But man does this stuff perform. Before I handled the knife and finished the blade, I put a edge on it and tested it. After chopping down a 30 year lilac bush, six 2 x 4, and beating the blade thru a dozen 16 penny nails, the blade was still sharp and no damage.
I started this project in April, it took longer then I ever expected. Now the shop is freed up so I will be able to get some knives done. I have another sheet of 3V but I am not sure I want to go thru all that again.
Thank you again for looking,
James
