PROGRESS OF MY FIRST KNIFE
« on: November 21, 2010, 09:40:00 PM »
HERES THE PROFILE I CHOSE FOR MY FIRST KNIFE, ITS A LITTLE DIFFERENT THAN MOST I HAVE SEEN.

THE BEGINING OF THE FILING! I HAVE REALIZED HOW MUCH WORK THIS IS AND HOW ADDICTING IT IS AS WELL.

MY TAPPERS ARE LOOKING BETTER ALL THE TIME BUT IN NOW MEANS COMPARE TO SOME OF THE AMAZING KNIVES BUILT BY SOME OF THE GUYS ON HERE.

MY FIRST ROUND OF SANDING TO SEE WHERE I NEEDED MORE WORK.

HERES WHERE IM AT RIGHT NOW WITH MY KNIFE I GOT THE WOOD FOR THE SCALES FROM A FRIENDS WOOD SHOP BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT IS I JUST KNOW THAT ITS EXTREMELY DENSE AND BEAUTIFUL. IF ANYBODY KNOWS WHAT KINDA WOOD IT IS I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW.

I WILL POST MORE PICTURES AS SOON AS I GET MORE WORK DONE.

the steel is an old file and its way to heavy to be walnut.
