Thanks again guys! I am having a little stew tonight and we made some jerky last night.
I'll say this much. I enjoy every kill alot more than I ever did when I hunted with a compound.
I must add this as well. That deer went to school with me the morning I found her. My students all wanted to take a trip to my car to see it.
Those poor inner city kids have been deprived!

I killed one myself the last weekend (Jan.5)of the season here in Texas. Of course it was 67 degrees at the time. Little different than what you experienced. Can't say enough about taking whitertails with traditional equipment. Congratulations to you and good luck in years ahead.

I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!
There is a fine line between Hunting, & Sitting there looking Stupid...
