What finish would you use?
« on: March 23, 2011, 06:12:00 PM »
On a knife that will see the kitchen often and, dare I say, may see the dishwasher a time or two?  It is the slicer I have in my "I like this one" thread below.  I am giving it to a friend and I will suggest it not go in the dishwasher and I know he will follow through but he has kids and....  You know how it goes when you are not the one doing the dishes.  The good news is it will be close to home so it the handle ever falls apart I can replace it.

After saying all that - what is a good finish for a daily use knife with a wood(pauduk) handle?

Thanks for any suggestions
