Great work. That is a great package...

Thanks again guys for the nice comments.

Doug, I'm looking forward to your hands on critique. I need all the help I can get.

C. Rivers. I'll get a ruler on it tomorrow and let you know.

Steve, I keep a pack of lion hounds for some winter work I do for the state. The number vary's but right now I'm feeding six of the potlickers.

Thanks again to all you guys, the blade that you each post on here gets me wanting try new things.

C. Rivers
The overall lenth is 9 1/2", blade is 5 1/2"
The balance point is right at the brass guard, I tapered the tang to get it there. I maybe should have tapered it a hair more but it feels good to my hand right there.

This is the first time I've tried this type of guard,(pinned). Gotta let a real bladesmith check it out to see if it's done right.

Thanks Big Red.

Cyclic R.  I just wanted to try a larger blade for once. I mostly use folders or fixed blades that are pretty small.
Thanks for the nice comments.

Thanks Mike. I now have a belt sander thanks to Doug. I did use it on the handle but I'm a little unsure on the sander so fell back on my grinder for the blade.

I need more time on the sander and I'm sure I'll get to using it way more.

Thanks Kathy, I know you like small knives but I just had to try a big one at least once.

The reins are Cindy's christmas gift, tons of hours with strands of kangaroo. Still might have to add more buttons if the weights not right.

That looks great! On a bench grinder! I am still to worried about letting go of the file. I tried a small stock reduction on a cheap belt grinder, boy did I mess that one up. Congrats on one versitile well dressed knife.
