Swept Hunter

This hunter profile is based on a Persian fighting knife in terms of general shape.  It is W2 with hamon.  The wood is black oak burl and the linen bolster wrap is basically 'stabilized' with heavy epoxy.  The spine is radiused with clay application and has almost an effect of chatoyance from the hamon there. An idea inspired by a Mr. Karl Andersen of Illinois. He posts here sometimes.

It is deeply hollow ground in order to maintain forged flats without sacrificing edge aggression.

By the way.. if there is a photo nazi watching.. I forgot to adjust for white balance hence the bluish tint to the blade.  Jim Cooper already emailed me (I do appreciate that kind of feedback!).

That could be my favorite one yet. I dig that blade profile and you have finished it off in such a cool way.
