Knipschield Knife and WWA Sheath
« on: February 01, 2012, 04:35:00 PM »
Just finished this one up. It is going to Illinois. I though Terry did a great job on this knife. It is a great piece of Desert Ironwood. Just buit a cross draw snakeskin chestnut sheath that fits like a glove. I will be a back on sheaths for I have a pile to build.

Top shelf - like all of 'em.
Whereabouts in Illinois?
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

The knife is nice, but that sheath is so beautiful. I love that chestnut color.

Scott,

You have done it again. Beautiful sheath, and nice knife too. That is one of my favorites that Terry has built, and it goes perfectly with the chestnut stain on the leather. I am VERY happy with the new chestnut colored arm guard you made me that has the same pattern as that sheath. Also, the new cordovan tabs you made me are great. You are a master, and Lin is too, so some knife of his belongs in one of your sheaths!

Scott, Love your work. I am inspired to continue to do a better job on my sheaths, but man, I gotta long way to go!

Mike,
Thank you. It is hard work. I was lucky enough to spend 2 years in a saddle shop. We did a lot of very high end work. Every thing we did was refined creating much difficulty in cunstruction. Thanks for noticeing.
