A skinner for Susan
« on: March 31, 2012, 10:12:00 AM »

This I did up for a very nice lady. I started 3 knives...East Indian Rosewood,Ziricote and Bocote.
The rosewood turned almose black. looked like G10 with little pits.
The bocote cracked, crazed and malfunctioned after several repairs. New disasters for me.
The wood was supposed to be air dryed.
All that wood was absolutely beautiful.
But it was  I think not dry at all. Time to invent a drying box..Maybe by summers end That wood will be ready
Make things worse! That was about the time that I myself was stabbed by some transient crazy and spent quite awhile recupeing...
So this little knife got to be real special to me.
My first total complete project after I was attacked.

And it's a beauty--fits my hand like, well, like it was made for me! Thanks Mike and hope you're all recovered. You sure make a beautiful knife!
