might of made a mistake?

I just finished glueing scales on my first knife but. Before I applied the glue I didn't scratch the knife or inside scale surface. Could this hurt the knife?

A couple questions, what type of epoxy, did use mechanical fasteners (corby, loveless bolts, or peened pins)?

If you didn't clean the scale off of the tang, the scales likely won't stick.

Sorry! The epoxy is a two part called two ton epoxy and I used peened pins.

I wouldn't worry as they may stay on OK.  If they pop off, just clean up the tang & pin the slabs then.
