There's just a whole long list of things to like about that knife.
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

Thank you guys. I didn't stain it. That's the natural color of the wood.

You're an artist with your damascus, but I must say a nice shiny stainless look is my favorite.  Simple, elegant and beautiful.  I'm not sure if I like this or your sub-hilt better, but either would be a dream to own.

 :notworthy:  indeed

Thanks for posting,

Another fine work from a true gentleman.  Beautiful, once again Lin.

Lynn, That's one sexy knife. One of these days I'll have to get you to build me one.

Many times an image hides things. As is the case with this one. Usually, however, the hiden things are best left hiden. Not the case here. I had the good fortune to see the finished blade before handle and guard installation. The facet that jumped out at me that doesn't show in the images is the incredible hardening lines from the clay application. In the hand the light plays like a halo gram and the effect is stunning! I have serious envy of the skill and talent shown in the design and execution on this one. Thanks for taking the time to doccument the process and sharing it here.
