Kelin's Christmas gift
« on: December 28, 2012, 02:14:00 AM »
Hi all, been a while since I posted any knife projects so figured I better catch up a bit.

Here is a knife that a friend of my son's ordered from me as a Christmas gift for his girlfriend. Photos by my son.

The knife is 7 1/2" long with a 4" blade, dyed purple stabilized maple burl handle on a damascus blank that I purchased from a US maker. It has 3/16" mosaic pins and white liners.  Sheath is 7/8 oz. veg tanned leather, tooled and dyed.

cheers, Dale

Great job. Very clean. Sheath is great as well as the photo.

NICE!!

I too would like to know about where the blank was purchased.  I have been looking for a first knife project and I like the looks of this one a lot.

Thanks
