First Damascus

Well I added a press to the shop. I just wanted to share it with everyone my first billet.
I want to give a big thank you to Karl and Lin for all there help and everything they share with everyone. There is no way I could have done this with out there helpful tips here. Its not the best looking billet but I am sure proud of it...

Congrats on a milestone in your knife smithing. Getting to a higher level comes with a big feeling of accomplishment. Do you have a design picked out for this billet? It would be nice to see some WIP shots as it progresses.

Thank you Lin for all your post and info that you so willingly share. Dana I think I am going to keep this first one like it is. Habit forming is a understatement!!  Thanks Doug it means a lot coming from you. I have watched you grow into a awesome bladesmith your self.. I have a order for some 15n20 so until then I am just waiting

Man I wish I had one of those "toys" in my shop!  As for now, I have to do my damascus production while visiting other's shops!
