Here is axe that I just finished and its about what I want for my pack axe. The hanlde is about 20 inches and the whole thing is a little over 2 lbs. Cuts great.

Lin I wonder if that would bust the rib cage on a elk? I put in for the permit hunt in oct. This is the month to apply. You need to apply so I can help you field dress it!
