Sounds good. Remember, consistency will help it heal. Stay on it. May i suggest alternating heat and ice. I know this sound basic, but it helps. Take it from a professional athlete, who has had it everywhere. Also sometendonitus depending on severity wont respond right away. If it continues, you may want to ask your DR about a cortisone shot. Again ,if i can help... Goodluck.

I have been going through it for over a year now.My doc wanted to go to cutting to fix mine but I went with plan b.  :)  This was my 3d week of physical therapy and I am able to draw my light weight bow again.I shot two arrows today for the first time since October.  :bigsmyl:

OTTO, Hang in there man.  Not much to offer in remedies but I will give you some encouragment. My brother in law is a DR. and he once cured my in grown toe nail that hurt like the dickens and put me down for near a week til he cut it out.  Most Dr.'s is good folks.  Listen to them. If you're not better by Cloverdale I hope you still make it.  If not I will have to give this cool gift to your brother.  I know you have several offers but if you need to send your Kanati out I will gladly shoot it til you get better.    Mine will be done in April.....   :bigsmyl:   Remember what I told you about the 2 bulls on the Hill.

James,
Wise choice. Surgery for these things should be a last resort. Sounds like you have a good PT. Remember, though, his job is to get you functional again. After that it is up to you!

I had a similiar problem, but in my shoulder. After all the MD voodoo, acupuncture and yoga have seemed too solved the problem it has been over a year with no problems, I can again comfortable draw 65# bows daily.

Otto, I also feel your pain... going through it as we speak.

Did you get a contrast medium with your MRI ? It would allow minute tears and tissues to show more clearly, where they could possibily go undetected with a normal MRI. I went through this procedure yesterday.

I'm currently under the care of a Physical Therapist and a Kinesiologist/Chiropractor, and I have responded positive to both.

I'm in good health and practice good nutrition. In a snapshot, I don't eat processed foods and I take pharmaceutical grade supplements. I find that being in good shape, internally and physically, expedites the healing process.

I'm sure Maxfit can offer excellent advice... pro bodybuilders are very knowledgeable (usually) about nutrition and physical conditioning.

Cortisone and surgery are absolutely a last resort for me.

Good luck with your recovery.
