Another Japanase influenced utility/hunter
« on: November 02, 2013, 09:00:00 AM »
Forged W2 Japanese influence utility/hunter.  Blade has nice hamon with working grade hand polish.  Handle is industrial black canvas micarta.  Overall length just under 8", blade just under 4",  3/16" thick at spine.  A very stout little utility knife.

A few quick "cell phone" pics-

Simple, yet classy.  I like it a lot.

Matt, that makes me want to cut up some stuff for stir fry!!
That li'l thing is slick, dude.

When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

That looks nice.......I like the other one with the forge finish and fancy handle better, but they are both real nice. Maybe a few flutes for improved grip in the handle? Like at the front end of this one.

Just a thought.

I thought about fluting this one too, or as I call it "bamboo" cuts... but decided to leave it smooth.

Real nice. Don't know which one I like best, this or the first one.
