Bowie
« on: April 04, 2014, 12:14:00 PM »
Here's one I finished yesterday afternoon that I plan to take to the upcoming Seattle International Knife Show coming up in a few weeks.

I had a bar of twist Damascus that didn't impress me so I forged it down to a 1/2" square. cut it into four pieces, restacked and forged into this 8 1/2" blade. She has wrought fittings and a curly Koa handle. Thanks for looking.

That is one quick, wicked looking blade and the more I see of koa wood, the more I like it. I'm thinking some of that belongs on one of my S&W K-frames.

Doug, that knife looks fantastic. That's one of the most beautiful pieces of Koa I've seen in a while. I'm very curious to hear how the Seattle show goes. It sounds like it's going to be a good time. You'll even get to see Bing and John Doyle in the same place  ;) . Thanks for sharing the knife with us.

Doug, I really like this one!  The blade profile is great and the Damascus is cool.

I love etched Wrought next to Curly Maple, but that Koa is very nice!

My kinda knife.  Have a great Show.

This strikes harmony with me. I'm a big fan of subtle Damascus that is noticed on a double take.

beautiful....that koa is special stuff.  Doesn't photo well enough to show just how much depth it has.. it's fast becoming one of my favorites.
