Utility Hatchet and Companion Knife

Hello again, came back from fly fishing the Patagonia region of Argentina, and I have been finishing some more knives for the upcoming Oregon Knife Show. I thought I'd try something new for me this year and I came up with a companion set made up of utility hatchet and a light weight knife both made ot of D2 tool steel. Hatchet is 9" long overall with 3/16" thick blade having Rockwell 57C hardness with tapered tang. Tapered tang companion knife is .140" thick D2 with Rockwell hardness of 61C. Handles are made of stabilized spalted maple with black canvass micarta cap and thin G-10 composite liner. Hatchet/knife/sheath weight is 18oz.

Nice set and I like the sheath idea. Bet that little axe and knife would handle a lot of chores together.

Man, this is cool all the way around! What a great combo to have at your disposal in the woods. I'm a big fan of smaller hatchets, and this one fits the bill nicely! Kudos!

Very nice unique set.
Looks super handy. I like the smaller hatchets as well, surprising amount of work can get done with one.
