Brut de forge camp knife
« on: April 26, 2014, 02:47:00 AM »
Had a rough day yesterday. 80% finished - 8hrs work and SNAP! So instead of throwing my toys out the cot (can't really - not when they're anvils and such) I finished this other one I was busy with.

Forged 52100
OAL = 260mm
Blade = 140mm x 38mm x 7mm

Out of all the knives I have ever made I like this one the most. Not very big but it's a beast!
Cheers
Tim

That's nice.  Not a huge fan of cord handles aesthetically and have only done one, but they do have their place.  Very comfortable and makes cleaning easy(at least the way I did mine was easy to remove/replace; I know they can be made pretty complex).  The profile, size, and finish on the blade is just right for a camp knife in my opinion though.
