A couple sheaths

I've had a knife that belongs to a buddy for quite awhile that I needed a special elk ivory for the sheath. It had to match one on some gun leather from a few years back. Got the ivory this winter from a lion kill and finally got the sheath done. The knife is a big one made by Bagwell.
 
 

The second sheath is a horseman's cross draw for a folder I just finished. Pretty plain but a nice way to carry a larger lockback. Amy Raymond Silver did the engraving

The big sheath has double rolled edges on top, done with veg tanned kangaroo. The lace on the little guard strap is also kangaroo with a little ring knot slide of horse rawhide. It was a fun one to make.

Darcy, here's a picture of the back of the Bagwell sheath. Some more scroll cutting and shows the size of this blade in my hand.
Scott started scrolling the backs of his sheaths and I thought it was a great idea on some of the fancy sheaths.

Very nice. I like that fine line scroll. I think it would also look great engraved on steel the same basic style.
I assume you are using 2 layers of leather, flesh sides together, and folding the inside one over the top for that rolled top Bagwell sheath?

Darcy, your correct on the rolled top. It's about 3 or four ounce kangaroo that goes down to the tip. Counting the welt there are five pieces in the main sheath. The belt loop is also lined and adds a couple more.

Doug, I don't know if it's still mine or not. It went to a engraving show with a price on it. Have not  heard if it came home yet.

I'm trying to get another sheath out right now.
One for Doug's St Jude knife. Real slender profile cool looking knife. Trying some different stuff to make the sheath the same profile. Hope it works.
