Buffalo Knife for a Friend.. UPDATE..
« on: August 07, 2014, 05:56:00 PM »
A friend of mine drew the Henry Mountain Buffalo tag this year after 30 years of trying.

He doesn't know its coming but I made him this knife to maybe add a little mojo on his hunt. Buffalo horn scales. The stuff is incredibly hard to find without having to purchase a whole skull. It was an expensive experiment but man does it go well on a knife. Cross draw holster and buffalo nickel concho.

Happy hunting,

Todd

 UPDATE

Hey thanks all!

Really means a lot. I was happy to see this post come back up. Just the other day I got this text message from my buddy titled "it worked great".

Thanks again and happy hunting to you all.

Todd,

That is a nice combo!  Built tough without too much flash.  Good job!

Thank you! I'm very novice on the leather work but I get a little better each time I build one. Dang near as much goes into a sheath as a blade!

I really appreciate the compliments!

Your comment on the sheath time is exactly why I let someone else do that- I was building five for every knife before I was happy with one!!!

Nice work.

Really nice work on the whole package!

BTW, that is NOT novice work on that sheath, that is solid leather work for sure!
