a knife for a raffle
« on: August 19, 2014, 09:48:00 PM »
I made this knife for the raffle at the Wellington, Tx. TBOT shoot Sept. 13-14.
The blade is 3-1/2" and the overall length is 8".
Walnut burl scales, brass bolsters, home made mosaic pins, brass liners and vine file work.
Should make someone a very nice everyday/skinner. If you are close to the Eastern Texas panhandle mid Sept. you should make the trip to Wellington. It's a fun trad only shoot on some nice property. I read that they are having a dove hunt this year also! Bring flu-flu's and have your license!

That's gorgeous!!  Great work.  Wish I could make that shoot, but Wellington  Texas is a long way from home.

Man, what a beauty! Someone will be a very proud owner.

Fabulous knife.
Nice combination of materials.
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.
