Bird and Trout
« on: December 12, 2014, 03:18:00 PM »
A while back I posted this blade and am just now getting it finished. I do that sometimes.
This is a very slim and light knife. The blade is 3-1/4 inch or so and fairly thin. About .125 thick at the ricasso. The spacers are pieces of hippo tooth ivory and stainless and the antler is Sambar stag.

Lin that hippo worked out great in that ...looks very classy. I'm actually in the midst of finishing a .125 thick blade for a squirrel hunter at the moment. Great knife.

I like that knife!

The Damascus is very appealing to me, and the stag has great texture and color.

Late to the party on this one......I really like this knife Lin. I like the Damascus a lot, I always like nice stag, and the spacers and the way you shaped the stainless bolster is just right.

Thanks guys.

Darcy, I had several sheaths made of this size and type so I decided to make this knife to fit the sheath, after the fact, which is tricky. But I had a knife that fit to refer to so I would just check the one that fit and make it as close as I could get and still look right.

Very nice Lin, I still watch your guys work. sometimes I don't comment but I watch now days.
If that knife was at my house I would skin squirrels and then clean it up and use it as a steak knife.   ;)
