Easy to work with this view.
So everyone has their method to finish and this is mine.
First I use Neatsfoot Oil and completely saturate the sheath. This will replace moisture in the leather that you lose from the dye process. I've heard that it can affect the stitches but that has never happened with any of my projects so far. I make sure to get down inside the sheath too. Then just let it sit and the leather will soak up all the oil. If it will get heavy use I keep letting it soak up oil until it won't anymore. Then I just wipe the excess down and call it good. On this we will put a little shine to it.
I like using the Super Shene after it dries on the outside. I use a damp sponge.
And that is all. The customer really liked this one. Always little things that I'd change. On this one obviously I'd put the loop on the correct side and on the fold side the stitches got closer to the edge than I would prefer but other than that I'm happy with this one.
Hope somebody can use something from here or at least enjoyed the process.
