First boar / deer / post
« on: January 16, 2008, 09:57:00 PM »
Evening of January 9th hunt took two quail, knobby buck and 158# boar. Deer went around 50 yards and boar went around 140. Great blood trail on both but only a pass through on the deer. (broadhead began to exit pig but stopped in the fat layer)

Bow: Bear Super Kodiak - 50ish lbs. @ 30"
Arrows: 614 grain gold tip shaft with Snuffer, Montec small game blunts on the quail
Location: Brooks County TX

Forgot to take a picture of the deer... This is what's left

Nice work man, so you're an aggie?  I hunt out in somerville whenever I get the time.  Didn't think there was another stickbow hunter in all of C-stat. Email me if you want to shoot sometime.

I believe we choose the stick and string because extreme efforts and obstacles can and should be used to raise personal achievements to new heights and deeper meanings.

Congrats, I wish we had pigs here to hunt, I don't get to do that near as often as I would like!

Join us at the Chester 3-D shoot the first weekend after Mothers Day. You'll be surprized at how many traditional archers there are in Texas. This is a great shoot with food and bunk houses available.      :campfire:

Aggie Power! Hey. You know how many aggies...well...nevermind. Nephew is a senior with a few months left and niece is a Freshman both at A&M. Yea. I'm proud. You should be too of these great shots you've made. Well done!

Great stuff mate! Good to see someone else making memories with their grandfather! I have many memories of hunting with my grandfather. I'll never forget them!  ;)
