Had a light dusting of snow this morning so I figured I'd get out and try to chase a few rabbits and any squirrels that happen to be out and about in my little wood lot. As usual there were no rabbits to be seen because the coyotes have taken more than their fair share. The squirrels provided plenty of entertainment even though my arrows could not find their mark. Still a great morning with my longbow. Made even better because I had heard from a few pretty reliable sources that the state bought up about 100 acres behind my property but no official word until I came across a few of these
So it's official my little piece of heaven is now surrounded by state land. I don't know what they plan on calling this new WMA or if they plan on just making it a part of the Trout Brook WMA which is not too far down the way. In any case I'm a happy camper to know that the planned housing development has been scrapped.
