Curious as to where you get the Jute for the grips. I like it a lot for a simple functional grip. What oil might sub for coconut oil to harden the grip over time? Thanks for the arrow info and the weight up front and total weight. Ought to slip right through any pig or anything else, shield or no.

Manny,
I really like that grip. How do you manage to get the string to follow the handle area around the arrow pass? Does the glue just hold it there till everything is dry?

Bruce, I guess you could get natural Jute at hardware or craft stores, I really don't know, I found this bundle at the house.
...Maybe linseed oil ?....mixed with a bit of shellac ?
...yes those arrows do the trick

Sorry Keith, never saw your question,
The leather shelf is cut really shallow and wide, so as you wrap the string it just fits with the curvature of the handle, it would move if not glued, but once the glue is dry, it's there for good.
