My First Osage
« on: September 14, 2008, 07:44:00 PM »
This is my first Osage selfbow, I received a 4" in log in Feb. of this year. It took me awhile to finish this bow. It shoots better than I expected and I'm very happy with the results.  I hope this bow will last.  Let me know what you think.

Not bad at all for your first bow. You could get the limbs bending a bit closer to the fades. It does look you are about to hinge about 1/3 out the right limb. Will you post an unbraced pic so we can see the profile.     Pat

The bow is not perfectly straight and has allot of character, the tiller looks off, because of the nature of this bow.

Not a bad first bow at all. The handle area could be reduced, seems like a lot of wood that ain't being bent.

The handle is 1" thick, I don't want to reduce it anymore, the bow is 64" NTN  40#@27".

I meant the length seemed a bit long.
