Bow finish
« on: October 15, 2008, 08:33:00 PM »
Hello all great site, learned more in a day than in the last 10 years about traditional shooting. I have a question not sure where to post but this is the closest I can get to topic. I have a Bear custom kodiak takedown that has had issues with the finish since day one (1996). Even took it with me to the Fred Bear museum and factory and said they couldn't help me, It did not affect the performance of the bow. It shoots fine but the clear glossy finish has chipped away in places and the spot where the limbs bend has horizontal cracks going across but it is just the finish not the laminations. I was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction to get this fixed. Would really appreciate it.

Bow Doc or Droptine will refinish it for you.
I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat vegetables!
