Bought U finish stave...Any advice..
« on: December 15, 2008, 09:07:00 AM »
I bought one of the u finish hickory pyramid longbow staves on the auction site. Is there any advice on how I should go about this? Do I need to clamp it down while sanding? Do I find the center to shape my grip? First attempt at this.I would like to get it to 50#. How do you get the taper on the limbs the same? Calipers?....Roy

Try this site out.

Get you a set of the Bowyers Bibles.
Do yourself a favor and do a lot of reading and asking questions before tillering.
