?? Heat bending recurve tips
« on: December 30, 2008, 10:18:00 PM »
I am making a maple board bow. Bow is 64" with glued on handle. Limbs are 1 1/2" wide at fades tapering entire length to 3/8" tips. I want to glue on a rawhide backing which i've had success with on a cherry bow (used TBIII). I am planning to put a slight recurve in tips to counter possible stack with short bow. What would be the best method, how much to bend, and do I need to bend before putting on rawhide?
