I am working on my first TD longbow. So far it seems blistering fast and I like it a lot. Last night I noticed something interesting.
My limb pads are nice and flat and the limbs are very flat were they bolt to the riser. After stringing I noticed I could see light between the riser and limbs. The limbs are obviously bowing very slightly due to the force on them. The gap is about .005". The limbs contact under the bolt and at the very end of the pad.
It is not surprising to me that this is happening as the forces must be quit high. Has anyone ever noticed this? Should I stop holding it up to the light and just finish it already?
Thanks,
Kevin
