3rd Attempt at Self Bow Somewhat Succesfull
« on: March 19, 2009, 08:21:00 PM »
Here is my third attempt at a self bow. This is one from black ash or at least that is what I was told.
Tillered stiff on the bottom limb because I shoot 3 under. I'm new at pics but I'll try to post so that ya'll can critique my tiller. Bow is pulling 45 @ 27. 63 in knock to knock. I shot this today and I'm loving this bow making stuff. Constructive criticism welcome.
Thanks Paul <><

Thanks for the compliments fellas. I'm gonna keep at it and maybe one day I can turn something out like I seen you guys make. I had posted that this was a hickory bow and my second attempt. I got so excited about posting the pics that I didn't realize I grabbed the ash bow when the wife got ready to take the pics. I had the post up and going and got to looking at it and realized it wasn't the hickory bow. If I can get a little help from her again I will try and get pics up of the hickory bow also. Thanks all. Bow looks great, smooth curves on it.  Sounds like your addicted as well.  Built my first one 10 yrs ago, still playing and trying new things when i build one.
