Rawhide backing strips from 3 Rivers
« on: April 28, 2009, 10:34:00 PM »
This stuff seems to be a lot thicker than some that I got from them a few years ago.It is probably a good 1/16" thick or better. The first rawhide I used seemed to be much thinner and when I glued it on it was transparent.Has anyone used any of this lately?

If you have a hand held orbital sander or a spindle sander you can thin it that way.  Even sand pape on a block will do the trick.
