Phenolic, horn overlays?
« on: May 04, 2009, 06:20:00 PM »
Got another question for you guys. I'm building a bow for my wife that she wants to back with snakeskin. she also wants to have black horn tips----she is asking for a lot  :bigsmyl:
Any way, I'm making a hickory self-bow for her and am wondering if I can use phenolic as it seems to be a little cheaper than the horn that I have found. If either will work, what is easier to work with and any tips? i've done antler tips on my bow, but she wants black tips.

thanks again,

ben
