What would happen?
« on: May 07, 2009, 06:44:00 PM »
To the tiller if all I did was shorten my limbs be cutting back the tips.  I know the weight will go up a bit, I'm not worried about that.

I have a pair of TradTech longbow limbs was thinking of shortening them.  What would that do to the tiller?  In my experience with selfbows, shortening the tips usually causes the bow to become more round in the handle.  Will the same thing happen to these limbs?

What has been your experience?

Thanks,

Keith

Depends on how much you intend to shorten them.  An inch on each limb, and then narrow to the same width, wouldn't change things too much.

Keith, after seeing you shoot the other day, I would leave that thing alone....but you can play if you want to!!!
