Tillering string
« on: May 22, 2009, 11:29:00 PM »
Does anyone know where I can get some leather pieces made to use on the ends of a tillering string. I used one of the stringers like Black Widow sends with there bows but one of the ends ripped out. It worked real well for tillering without cutting string grooves till you get ready to string up. Thanks, Don

try a boot repair or a saddle shop and have them use some good heavy leather. I make my own stringers and tillering string cups, just fold it into a triangle and stitch it with artifical sinew

Don, you probably have an old leather boot around. Or try a garage sale. My worn out Red Wings have worked out for various things!
