I have a old shrew 54" long bow 52#@26" (my draw) I use 60-65# ash cut 27"BOP w/160 grn points I would think they will work for you as well...

I shoot only wooden shafts. I handplane my own from white pine and poplar. I think you got a accurate estimate of weights above. I'm making some shafts now that spine at 43#, are 30 inches long and weight about 350 grains. I seldom have to straighten my shafts. They do break particularly if you hit a stone rather than your target.I don't know how aluminum and carbon would fare in a head on contact with a stone. My guess is it won't be pretty.  :)  Jawge
