Bowyers Bible, Which one??
« on: February 04, 2007, 10:25:00 PM »
I saw these on 3rivers and would like to buy one but didn't know which volume to get. I'm looking for one that would teach me some things on building selfbows and recurves. What volume do you think i should get??

Volume 1 is mostly selfbows. That's the only one I have. I'm not sure which one has info on recurves.

I sent you a pm.

Ild start with the first one. It gives a lot of basic begining information. Its a good book.

One.  Has the basic info. you'll need.  But if you've got the money, go ahead and get all three.  I jump around in mine.  A lot of good info. to be had, and not just for building bows.

The first one is definitely the best to start with. I also get a lot out of the second, but the meat of bowyerin' is in the first one. Cheers, Matt

I have the second one, and they reference the first one too many times for it to be useful on its own.

But, eventually, I'd get all three (and I will!)
