converting recurve Howett to t/d

Has anyone taken a one piece and converted to a takedown. Going to mongolia and would like to take a older Howett or Texas Recurve that is no more than 36". Has it been done. Happy Trails Ken

I believe BowDoc has done and I imagine others.
