Fire Hose
« on: June 21, 2009, 01:44:00 AM »
I will soon be building my first bow form and will be using the band method of clamping.
Talked to a friend of mine who is a fireman and he thought he could get some fire hose for me incase I want to try it in the future.
What size am I looking for? What size is compatable with Binghams components?
May never use the stuff but it might be a good chance to pick some up.
Thanks,
       Ed

I would be very carefull.  Fire hose that is discarded is so for one reason.  'Leaks'  And the leaks come from lots of leaks in a full length of hose.  The hose, if used has been ran over by trucks many times and have small leaks when pressurized with air.  The reason I'm so smart is because I tried that route.  In my opinion I'd buy new hose....
