New long bow
« on: July 13, 2009, 11:01:00 PM »
Heres the link to the pics of my latest.  I am in the process of putting on the final clear coats as Apex and Kenny suggested and its coming out rather swell.  Thanks guys.  Will post some better pics when I can figure out photobucket again.

Nice looking bow- how long of a power lam did you use and was it from the fades or tip?

I used the same as Apex did as I closely watched his results.  I am sure Martys came out better.  I used a .065 reqular red elm lam and cut it to 12 inches  and marked it at 6 inches then tapered from the half way point to paper thin.  I put them on the belly side and thickest end towards the center of the bow running out towards the limb tips.  Worked great.
