new bow

Brand new bow just finished being made about two days ago but still need a good string for it

specs are 68" bow with 30#@28"    

Sure hope this image thing works...

In the pictures of it at full draw im borrowing one of my longbow's strings.. but keep in mind this is my very first bow and im only 15 with no prior training at all = )

That's a great first bow Dave.  My first bows were board bow made using info from the internet.  That was before I found this website.  These guys are great resources.  Use them, they seem happy to help.  At only 15 you have a long bow building career ahead of you...enjoy it.

what kind of wood is it? i started bowbuilding at 25. so you got an advance of 10 years  :thumbsup:
in past even the future was better, so what do you want?

Thanks Dano im a little electronically challenged.. The wood is red oak board from my good friend Lowes. (which is also the riser)
I really havent found a distributor of other woods..

I wanted to try something new so i backed it with *gasp* brown paper bag.. I really dont have the supplies for this sort of thing i just wanted to test the theory
i do think it turned out a little light.. any theories on how to keep some of the weight during tillering?
