Adding eight to a finished bow
« on: July 29, 2009, 08:33:00 PM »
Have you ever built a new bow only to be disappointed that it came twenty pounds light?  It has happened to me a couple of times when trying a new design.

Here what I did roughed up the belly glass and added another strip of glass to the belly at a reduced temp.

On one bow I gained fifteen pounds by adding .030 glass.  Yeah I know it adds mass but I figured better than being that far under weight.  Have any of you tried this?
