Roberts idea for Binghams DVD is very good.
1...This will most likely work,just go slow ,think it all thru. Going with a proven plan for the first few is a great idea before beginning designing. Don't ask how I know! LOL
2...Go with .002 per inch taper at least for a 1.5" wide at fades longbow,if narrower you can go .003 and some use .004
3...No taper needed on the flat of the glass,taper the core the .002" per inch or whatever you use,then of course taper the limb edges to 1/2" or so wide at tips...
4...Just what you are doin here,ask lots of ?s
Here is an example of a .003" per inch taper in a 64" d/r
Less taper will bend more at fades,more taper will bend more towards the tips...
5.... Smooth on all the way IMHO
