Best inexpensive scraper?

Hello,

Looking for the cheapest (best) scraper. I would like to here what you use and were you got it. If anybody has some for sale let me know.

Grizzly products offers a set of 6(I think) for less than $15. Any piece of good steel can be made into a scraper.Old saw blades, circular saw blades, etc. Also a cheap pair of scissors with the rivet removed will yield 2 good scrapers. Pat

I don't know for sure myself which is best....But Glenn StCharles once told me the cheepest,and what he thought was one of the better...A peace of broken glass....need a new edge? break it again he said..bowdoc

I keep a couple of cheap knives on the workbench for slicing sandpaper into small pieces. They made dandy scrapers also.

When I tillered my Dryad Hunter I bought a few from a wood store and I also had one of those little 1" wide by 6" long machinest rules you stick in your shirt pocked and that thing really worked great for taking light strokes.....I liked it better for the fine tuning...God Bless! Keefers <")))><

Harbor Freight tools has scrapers and burnishers for really cheap.  Check em out on the web.

I have all the high dollar scrapers but a friend turned me one to the thing that works the best, a half pair of scissors.

 

I sharpen the scissors half with an Accusharp scissors sharpener. These things really take the wood off.
