Im looking to build my first T/D recurve but dont know what the difference would be between using 1 3/4" or 2" limbs. Is there any difference in performance, speed, smoothness or quietness between the two. Whats yals take on the two. Thanks

The books say narrower is faster, wider is more stable and easier to tiller. Good Luck, Kirk

For a shorter T/D recurve go with the wider limbs they are more stable in a short length at full draw. Honestly the 2" is going to come out at 1-7/8 to 1-3/4 after you grind out the bow (after gluing) and the 1-3/4 is going to come out slightly narrower then you started - best to go with the wider glass to make up any variances in the layup process. 2" glass is easy to make 1-3/4" at final grinding.
