my 5 yr old son asked my for a bow yesterday, today i showed him this post, he loves it.  can you post a pic/autocad/pdf of the form you used to make it, maybe some building pictures, and the stack you used.?  i have a little boy that would love to help daddy build him something just like that.

Here is a pic of the form, it is straight no defex, with recurves.  I used a 12" riser used .030 glass and one .030 lamination on this one, came in about 8# at 16".  I just use rubber bands made of old intertubes to glue it together. I cut the glass and lam into four 18" sections.  Simple easy and inexpensive.

how wide is it at the fades? why did you cut the  back glass seems like it should be 18" on the belly and 36 on the back?, or does the glass not make it all the way across the back?

I used inch and half glass and lams. it is one and half inches at the fades.  The reason that I cut into four equal sections is so that I could build the bow with one strip of glass.  The glass does not go all the way over the riser.  The recurves are only about two inches, the overall length of the bow is 36".
