Why a longbow or recurve?

I tried the longbow, but am switching to a recurve. Couldn't shoot the long bow for crap and it didn't feel "right" when I drew it. I have a 54in 43lb recurve coming in two days from Timberhawk.  I like a medium to high grip and the way the draw feels with a recurve. I shot their bow at K-Zoo and ordered one right away. Whether I will be more accurate or not is yet to be seen, but it sure "feels" better than my longbow.
