Flemish String Jig

Hi there,
I know a handful of you have built your own string jigs. Where did you get the metal pins for the top portion of the jig? Did you just use a wooden dowel for the bottom, length post?

You can use finish nails or if you want to get fancy, get some brass "shelf pins" at the local mega lumber yard.

I used finish nails for the top and corners and a cut-off 16 penny nail for the moveable length post.

Thanks for the quick reply, gents. The finish nail idea should work great.
